My name is pronounced / sΙtΚ /, by the way - it rhymes with watch. Idk why but for some reason it bothers me to think of ppl pronoucing it with a different vowel sound... am I justified in caring? Does name pronunciation matter at all when interaction is happening only through text?
I just had an idea but I'm intentionally being vague because I haven't thought it though haha. Bubble is super convenient for discussions. Federation would be better, but things would have to be super simple, not ActivityPub style, something more like public email. It would need to build on top of gemini with its own client/server architecture, with the clients facing gemini. Maybe it should build on Misfin. What I know for sure: no feed, no following, no public timeline. Just an inbox but...
Iβm surprised β Here's the text of my lost post, with comments below: I donβt know how to feel about this. I think Bubble will avoid many of the problems with its web-based counterparts, some by virtue of being on Gemini, and some by virtue of its small user base and open source not-for-profit nature. Perhaps Bubble as a CMS will succeed in making Gemini more accessible. I certainly think it is useful for Git. But the Reddit aspect? I am happy with Station.
