Rooster Teeth bites the dust — Which means no more RWBY, I guess. Unless someone buys the “IP.”
Scott Pilgrim Takes Off — i don't usually watch anything, and i am pretty illiterate in moving picture genres, but i have watched Scott Pilgrim Against the World film, and liked it. Well, I didn't like it immediately, I tried to watch it like 15 times across several years, and didn't make it through first 15-20 minutes. Then at some point I liked it very much, watched several times. Recently at friend's house (he has Netflix) I was browsing anime section in search of something not bloody...
Everyone here knows about ani-cli, right? Just making sure.
Recommendation: The Apothecary Diaries — Crunchyroll streams this newish anime (currently at S01E08), a slow story playing in the emperor's palace in medival China. The young protagonist is a kidnapped former apothecary, who is quite smart and uses her stoic demeanor and knowledge to reluctantly solve some problems in the palace and gains the trust and respect of many people. Especially her stoicism towards everything imperial or hierarchical is heart-warming. She does what's right without...
I just watched My Happy Marriage on Netflix and I enjoyed it a lot. It was very different than other anime I’ve watched. It’s a romance about two people falling in love, but the word “love” is never uttered.

The story is tied together by Jazz, which the protagonists play in a record shop's basement in their spare time. The story progresses nicely, has a good story arc and a very satisfying end. It captures the fabric of life without too much high school drama. Given the comparatively short duration, it’s remarkable how it delivers a heart-warming story with...
