Accounts

How do I create an account?

For now you may request an invite. You'll get an email as soon as you're able to sign up.

How do I access my account?

When you create your account you will be presented with a signed client cert. You will only see this cert once. You must save it somewhere safe and instruct your gemini browser to use it in order to access your account.


Once you have access to your account you may navigate to your Account Settings page and follow the "Create a new gemini ID cert" link in order to generate additional certs.

How do I change my account name?

Changing your account name is not recommended.


Navigate to your Account Settings page and follow the "Change Account Name" link.

How do I set my account email?

The email address you used for an invite code was automatically linked to your account.


If you'd like to use a different email, navigate to your Account Settings page and follow the "Set Email Address" link.

How do I delete my account?

Deleting your account is permanent. Any repos you have will be deleted and cannot be recovered.


To delete your account, navigate to your Account Settings page and follow the "Delete Account" link.

Repos

How do I create a new repo?

Navigate to your Account Settings page and follow the "Create New Repo" link.

Can I make a private repo?

Not yet.

How do I push to my repo?

You may push to your repo using git's HTTP protocol. SSH is not yet supported.


In order to push via HTTP you must have an HTTP access token. You may generate one by navigating to your Account Settings page and following the "Manage access tokens" link.

Can I give other accounts push access to my repo?

Not yet.

How do I make a PR?

There is currently no UI for PRs. Merge locally and push to your base branch.

How do I change the name of my repo?

Changing your repo name is not recommended.


Navigate to your Repo Settings page and follow the "Change Repo Name" link.

How do I delete my repo?

Deleting a repo is permanent. Once deleted a repo cannot be recovered.
