< greetings

~detritus

Welcome!

I am also a fan of science fiction, though these days I read mostly nonfiction. I recently read Roadside picnic by the Strugatsky brothers, and watched the film adaptation, Stalker, by Tarkovski. I also read the futurology congress, by Stanisav Lem, which is also adapted to film, I like the film a lot, but the book is (as is usual) a lot better in my opinion. I want to read We as well, I did start reading it once but didn't continue.

I never read past the first Dune novel, but having watched the new film, I'm thinking of picking it back up. I loved the new films, but in my heart always plays the musical score from the older one by Lynch.

It's early, so perhaps some English Breakfast tea for me. Thank you ~bartender!

Oh yeah I also only read the first Foundation, I should keep that up, too!

PS. Thank you for reigniting my interest in science fiction.

I got the book after watching the first teaser trailer for the new adaptation. Something about it just spoke to me on that level. Highly recommended!

Ooh, have you watched the new Foundation TV show? (Apple TV)

cheers!
