Wow, I don't know whats better. That Negroni or your draft!
There's not much, if anything, to improve.
I centered it a little more and "figgled" a bit with the "the".
But I dont't know. The 'e' is tuff and your "plaintext" version harmonizes more with the "Est..." footnote.
