These trends are worth discussing

APRIL is about to end (one week left) and this month's statistical data from statCounter shows Vista 11 losing share relative to other versions of Windows. So what's the plausible explanation?

We're seeing a lot of rants about Vista 11 getting worse over time, even in Microsoft- and Bill Gates-connected sites. Some of them even mention "Linux". On an existing PC one can replace Windows with BSDs and GNU/Linux, not with anything of Apple. Think about it...

As we've shown in several articles yesterday [1, 2] and even today, in some countries in Africa Windows' "market share" is as low as 2% (maybe 1% soon, but 2.2% right now) and all that Africa means to Microsoft is cheap labour, salaried at $2 per hour (in Kenya, which is relatively well off). Last year we saw reports that layoffs at Microsoft impacted staff in Africa, including in Kenya. Is that some kind of "exit strategy"?
