23:13 DaemonFC; I am running Plasma over Wayland (and with XWayland) on Manjaro X86_64 for the past year. I observe NONE of the issues you present! Perhaps it is not Wayland, per se, that is your real issue!

23:13 DaemonFC; Its probably a number of things including that you have to be running some tricked out unstable rolling distribution to actually see the latest code.
23:13 DaemonFC; Since X11 actually works on distributions that arent bling bling for kids, maybe Ill try Wayland again in 3-4 years and see if it actually works then. The whole concept of Wayland is negative work because its just redoing things that already worked, and doing them worse.
23:13 DaemonFC; Perhaps using later code could fix some of the many, numerous, problems with Wayland on KDE you get on Stable distributions, but it would come at the price of bringing in other bugs that come and go, and getting whacked with new versions of thousands of packages that havent been tested or properly integrated together. Its just here they are. They compiled, so here they are.
23:13 DaemonFC; Rolling release distributions make nice toys. I read some of the Manjaro documents, including the parts about how the AUR is available, but actually using it could cause your distribution to break. Lovely.
23:13 DaemonFC; Again, everything that Debian makes available from the official repos doesnt cause the entire distribution to break. You should have a large repository of software you can actually depend on. I dont think that rolling releases give you that.
