●● ‘Hacker’ ‘News’: You’re ‘Flagged’… for Insulting Canonical and IBM With Inconvenient Facts

Posted in Deception, Free/Libre Software, GNU/Linux, IBM, Red Hat, Ubuntu at 12:19 pm by Dr. Roy Schestowitz

Another day, another typical day at ‘Hacker’ ‘News’, where large corporations have “feelings” (or staff infesting the comments, trying to bury critics)

An hour later (no reason specified for ‘flagged’):

What do I know about those topics anyway?

Summary: ‘Hacker’ ‘News’ in 2023 is still operated by corporate ‘bury brigades’; facts are “hurtful”, so accurate stories get removed from sight, usually within an hour or less irrespective of score/popularity/precision (it’s always like this; far from the first time, no explanation provided)

Bonus: This is the #3 story (from the top) at the moment. Nothing says Hacker better than Apple, Facebook, and Microsoft GitHub!

Very “advertiser-friendly’ story. More like a corporate plug, proprietary at every level.
