Summary: IBM with its notorious legions of "IP" lawyers and a platoon of SLAPP warriors — this time hiding under the “Red Hat” hat — tried to take away a domain critical of its deeply racist behaviour and exclusion of people (not to mention attacks on RMS, Linus Torvalds, and even us); if Red Hat keeps wasting money and resources simply harassing people instead of making GNU/Linux better, there will be no “Fedora” community left, just underpaid interns, Microsoft slaves (GitHub), and “dinobabies” who are IBM employees "100% of the time" (even after work)

THIS decision was released yesterday and it merits a response because more people out there need to understand what IBM is doing and what IBM has been up to for years.

The damage to Red Hat will be profound; CentOS is already ruined (many people left, even management figures and developers), Fedora is a pale shadow of its former self, and resorting to SLAPP against critics (to suppress voices of former Fedora volunteers) is hardly going to help recruit anybody. In Debian, we’ve already seen unqualified people harassing developers, in turn driving them out of projects in spite of their innocence (Dr. Norbert Preining) and if IBM keeps doing this, then its acquisition of Red Hat will be tens of billions of dollars down the drain. As yesterday’s decision shows, the litigious move was a shot in IBM’s own foot as IBM itself was found to be harassing people. What else to expect from a nuclear company? █
