Summary: Foxconn stories that directly relate to Microsoft products again
THE XBOX 360 is said to have burned some houses down and even burned a baby, but never mind the precious lives of people who live in the West.
Microsoft’s labour conditions are appalling and watch what happens to the workforce which actually assembles real products (not patent extortion and marketing). From British sites:
Suicidal Foxconn workers talked down from factory roofMicrosoft Xbox factory workers threaten mass suicideSOFTWARE HOUSE Microsoft is apparently concerned about threats by workers at a Foxconn factory to commit mass suicide over working conditions and pay.Foxconn factories sound like terrible places to work, and it seems that every year we hear fresh accusations and horror stories. We have asked Microsoft to confirm whether this latest report is accurate, and asked it to comment about why 300 people that assemble Xbox hardware are threatening to kill themselves.
Guess what Microsoft’s response was. █
