Summary: Chris Liddell leaves Microsoft and leaves some open questions
Having dumped his shares in Microsoft [1, 2] (the stock is artificially boosted/inflated), the CFO of Microsoft finally decides to leave. Chris Liddell, whom Reuters characterised as an "odd choice" last year, seems to have had enough.
Given the history of financial fraud at Microsoft [1, 2, 3] (never properly resolved), this departure may rightly spur speculations. One must remember that Microsoft is borrowing money, so Chris Liddell is leaving at the right time. Vista 7 has changed nothing and a top Windows executive also left Microsoft upon its release, just days before Microsoft announced more layoffs.

Whichever company Chris Liddell lands in will be at risk of being influenced by the Microsoft (sub)culture. Microsoft’s former CFO (Connors) is now working with a sort of satellite of Microsoft, Ignition Partners. Lazy reporters neglect to share such details. █
