I personally prefer to use back links on my capsule for two reasons:

My capsule has grown rather organically (to be kind about it), so it's not that well organized.

While many clients have an 'up' command, not all of them do. I'd rather my capsule be client agnostic and have '=> ./ back' links on all of my pages.

In the end, it's mostly a matter of personal opinion.
