my spouse dropped something electronic on the kitchen floor, and 4 batteries popped out. we looked EVERYWHERE for the last one. gone forever.

I just found my 7-foot roll-up projection screen in a pile of wood planks in the basement. Previously promised to give it to an acquaintance, and when she and her husband came to pick it up, I couldn't find it. I thought I was crazy, and must've given it to GoodWill or something. Haven't seen said acquaintance since.

Isn't it annoying when you lose something, so you search the entire house for it and instead find every lost object and idea ever EXCEPT the one you were looking for? If I suddenly found Atlantis in the kitchen sink, I wouldn't be surprised.
