I made the switch from Debian to Ubuntu. It wasn't my favorite thing to do, but I couldn't keep an internet connection. Which also means I lost a lot of what I wrote about this week. I also discovered that I could get in on next year's 22.04 release, so I did.

Friday, December 10th

Got some things sorted and I'm back on i3. Imagine that. I have renamed the machine from Roxie (the Windows side) to Kouka. Not gonna explain that at the moment, but if you know, you know.

I saw something that made me write a function for getting averages. So I have two pieces down, the a1c conversion and the method to get an overall average, whether its a day, week, month, or even year.

Every little piece I put in is a little closer to even more tools I can use elsewhere. Another thing I am having issues with is just letting go when I type. I tend to overthink it and that slows me down.

Saturday, December 11th

I spent a good bit of time fighting with the network and its still giving me fits. At least now I know its the access points and not me. Nothing I have control over. I keep trying to lock onto a single one that I know works, but the damned thing keeps shifting.

Takeaways

Know what you're doing before you switch up everything.
