Animal rights and veganism

I have been a (flexible) vegan for much of my life.

I think that that humans in general are probably not more special than other species.

Reasonable arguments against veganism

While I am in general convinced of the case for veganism I do questions some things.

Such as:

Is anything truly vegan?

Are manufactured 'vegan' foods a good thing?

Is it better to use some animal based products that come from your locality over problematic ingredients from far away places e.g. palm oil?

Is it better to use some animal based products over plastic based products (e.g. vegan leathers vs animal skin leathers)

Is it ok to use hunted animals if done 'sustainably'? (Appeal to freedom)
