Tea Tea Deluxe 1.2.7 and Tea Land

Tea Tea Deluxe, New Version

A few days ago I made some updates to my OpenTTD mod. This category of mods is called a NewGRF in OpenTTD parlance. No big things, but enough to warrant a new release.

Rebalanced appearance probabilities, making tea factories and teahouses a lot less common. Since these are secondary and tertiary industries respectively they're not needed in the same amount or as early in the game, and later in the game they can be funded by players if the game settings allow it. The default is that it is allowed.

Tiny improvements to the teahouse sprite, i.e. the way it looks. Literally something like three or four pixels have changed colour slightly. It made a surprisingly big improvement in my opinion.

And now stations placed near these industries get custom names just like they do with most other industries. If you place a station next to a tea factory belonging to the town of London the station will be called "London Tea Factory".

Come Play in Tea Land

I've set up a dedicated OpenTTD server that anyone can reach through the multiplayer portal in the game. It's called "Tea Land (tea-land.eu)" and as you may guess from the parenthesis there is a website about it too.

You see, Tea Land is a wonderful place where real people (don't actually) live.

They even have a newspaper!

As I'm writing this I still haven't updated the server to use Tea Tea Deluxe 1.2.7, though. It's still on 1.2.4 and you'll have to forgive me for that. I'm going to update it and move it to an Ethernet connected server because the WiFi connection appears to be a little bit dodgy.
