Things I've Learned From Star Trek Voyager

Ships, anomalies, and other unexpected things always show up "off the port bow".

There is no use trying to understand time travel. Captain Janeway points this out at several occasions.

Resistance is in fact not futile.

A mixed species pregnancy can last for a very short or a very long time, and the child may develop to a 5-6 year old's maturity in just a year or so.

Even when you've magically crossed thousands of light years of space that would otherwise take decades you'll still encounter species whose territory you should reasonably have left a far way behind.

The Voyager crew are not the first nor only humans in the Delta Quadrant. Not by far.

Someone who is at first very friendly will quite often try to stab you in the back.

Most baddies are motivated by money.

It doesn't matter how much fuel you get your hands on, replicator food will still be rationed.

Data compression works in mysterious ways. Very mysterious ways.
