Is wxPython Worth Looking Into?

I've lamented about the terrible state of GUI development for a long time, but the other day I stumbled across a post about developing simple GUI apps with wxPython. Mind you it still looks like there's a lot of horrible code that needs to be written, but it looks like sizing and placement of components is a little more like writing CSS.

I really don't understand the license for wxPython, though. As in I don't know how I can license a project that uses it.

I would love opinions from people who've tried it or understand the licensing part better.
