In brief: It's some damn good sake. Has a bit of a coconut taste.
ABV: 14.5%
Price: Cheap, $10-13 a bottle.
I've recently tried Ozeki's Nigori Cloudy Sake. More than tried I've actually almost finished a second bottle of it haha (at at this exact moment).
The taste initially struck me as stronger than I thought it would be, but after a while I barely even noticed the alcohol taste. That may be from my palate being more used to alcohol, as when I first drank this I hadn't had alcohol in a few months.
Now it tastes quite light with a nice coconut-esque aftertaste. Since this is cloudy sake, every so often there's a bit of grain like texture but it's very infrequent and honestly add to the vibe.
Cloudy sake is normal sake with the final filtering step skipped, which gives it a murky cloudy look from the leftover rice.
I'm a big fan of sake in general, but cloudy sake specifically is especially nice.
