Jalapeno Poppers

Ingredients


8 large jalapenos

20 strips of bacon

1 cup finely chopped green onions

1 clove garlic minced

16 oz cream cheese (2 blocks)



Instructions


Fry 4 slices of bacon, then finely chop the bacon and add it to a mixing bowl

Add green onions and garlic to the mixing bowl

Add cream cheese to the bowl and mix all of the ingredients in the mixing bowl (this mixture can be made a day ahead of time and kept in the refrigerator if you want, otherwise it can be made the day of as well)

Cut jalapenos in half from the stem to the tip, keeping the length of the halves the same as the whole jalapeno

Remove seeds and membrane (the white stuff inside of the pepper) from jalapenos

Fill jalapeno halves with the cream cheese filling mixture from the mixing bowl

Wrap each filled halapeno half in a strip of bacon (you may need to use a toothpick or 2 to hold the bacon to the jalapeno

Cook until the bacon is fully cooked (for instance, in an air fryer at 370F for about 12 minutes, or on a grill)
