A Signal of Life

Life finds a way... To get in the way

It's been a while since I could dedicate time to Oriean Space or OSS-Betelgeuse. My stabs at CGI interactivity on the latter have failed completely and now, as it turns out, spare time eludes me. But I do want ~hard~ to at least be able to set capsule hosting up. To be fair, I've mentioned before that I'm a newbie at this so I do ask a bit of patience at the same time as I offer an apology.

A little is better than nothing

Yesterday I made a couple alterations on the SSH access, but I'm still having issues with external access. I'm pretty sure it's something I have to contact my provider to fix. I'll try to get on it as soon as possible.

Also, I've been thinking about how to call the 'citizens' of Oriean Space. In a similar way that the Zaibatsu Colony have Sundogs. I admit I've been struggling for a while, I'm into 'Space Wolves' or something like that, but using "wolf" feels like I'm trying to one-up the Zaibatsu somehow, as cool as it sounds. Plus, there's no strong connection to Orion and I'm thinking maybe to stick in that diretion, keep with the theme and all that. Maybe. Some other random options I've been mulling over in no particular order:

- Stellar/Star Wolves

- Space/Cosmic Cats

- Orionauts

- Stellarions

- Nebulites

Where there's a will there's a way

I am ~not~ giving up on this project any time soon. I fell in love with Gemini, not just the protocol, the atmosphere and the sense of community. Not too long ago I started recognizing names on different 'gemapps'. It really is a great feeling. And, ultimately, I want to give back. Offer people a place to call $HOME and be a part of this awesome space.
