There is no goal to the game, no way of winning. Being there, exploring the space created by other placers, creating spaces and riddles yourself, talking to other characters in the game, maintaining the fiction that you are all shape-shifters, is a collaborative endeavour, sometimes called a story telling game, or a role-playing game. We're all playing the roles of shape-shifters in a game world that we create and reshape as we play.

How to find other people?

First, this link doesn't create a character for you. Thus, if you're curious, this peek inside is free: it's the “who“ command and it lists all the characters, sorted by last activity.

Once you're in the game, the “rooms“ lists all the rooms, sorted by last activity.

If you want to list the people in the rooms, use “rooms ghosts“. This lists all the rooms, sorted by last activity, and it adds all the characters in the rooms. Remember, however, that after 10 min of inactivity those characters will no longer be visible. Characters that were active less than 10 min ago are marked with an asterisk.

If you're lost in a labyrinth
