Taking A Blog Break

Well, it looks like my 'week' challenge lasted about three days. I had partially written a log for 03-20-22 but got distracted and never ended up finishing it to a point of publication.

But hey I wanted a break and am not gonna kick myself about it too hard. Ill make up for it :P

Its been 3 days since setting up the miner and so far it has witnessed 3 other miners in the area, which has netted a whopping 52 cents worth of helium. While the profit margins are obviously not encouraging for a break-even scenario, I was worried the miner may not witness anything at all ever. Its pleasing just having a healthy amount of activity which contributes to other miners in the local area having a healthier amount of activity. Slightly more profits for all and growing the networks strength of coverage in the process.

Progress

After the log mentioning my playing with CGI scripts, Acidus was nice enough to send me an email with some helpful tips. The jist of it was renaming the script files extention to .cgi and running the command 'chmod 755 script.cgi' to make it executible. I tried the chmod thing but didn't know about the 755 part. Its simple things to mess up that are easily avoided once you know about them.

Im Watching

There are many youtube series made by independent creators I found in my late-teenage years which I come back to occasionally in my early 20s for nostaliga. Mostly abdridged series and animations. Its nice to find that they are still just as funny as I remembered them.

This week im binging through the "If the Emperor had a Text-to-Speech Device" series. Im not a fan of warhammer 40k or its games/figurines but if there were an entry to that franchise this fan-animation series would be it. The emperor of mankind is such a sassy asshole and all the characters have their charms. The storytelling goes from telling lore and jokes to more complex character development arcs over time. Its worth a watch
