Welcome

You have found what I hope will one day soon become a semi-regular gemlog, so I will start by introducing myself and stating my inention for this endeavor. I am currently an MD/PhD student living in and loving St. Louis, MO. I study the immune response to Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection and am planning to finish up my PhD work by this coming summer (2023). When I'm not at work, I am usually learning something new for fun. That tendency has made me into a serial hobbiest and master-of-none. It is likely these serial hobbies that I will write about here.

This gemlog is essentially also a hobby that I am taking on to learn about the small internet. I didn't know what Gemini was until a week ago, and I am currently spending much of my time obsessively discovering content, mostly other gemlogs, to follow and consume.
