To write in english or not, that is the cuestiĆ³n

asd

the first and most important question right now in regards to this capsule may have to do with the language i should write in; in english, in which i may not express correctly and/or not clearly enough, but it may reach more people from an already tiny (smol) amount of people, or in spanish, a language i can express myself in more details, at the expense of being read by, at most, 4 people (in an ideal scenario; i would probably not be read at all) (who says i am being read right now aksakj).

Spanish has its obvious advantages to me as a native speaker; my thoughts are expresed more precisely and in a shorter time, consequently i could write more in a given amount of time .

Besides reachability, however, i find english to be an interesting option because of one specific reason; my unfamiliarity with english means i cannot write the first thing that comes to mind, as fast as possible, as i would in spanish; using and unfamiliar language results in needing to think through every sentence. Even though writing consciously in spanish is indeed possible, it is also true that trying to write in a readable english requires me to think about grammar and syntax in a way i dont in spanish (i reformulated this phrase about 3 times, taking me about 1 to 2 minutes to find a somewhat understandable phrasing of it; indeed me cuesta una barbaridad jej)

++++

To this point, we've established:

In favor of spanish' usage:

Clear and precise communication

Ease of use, at the expense of mostly thinking in semantic terms, and not in formal ones.

In favor of english' usage:

It reaches more people (if that's something worth to mention at all; after all, i am here precisely so that i can not be perceived by anyone i personally know)

It implies a more slow-paced type of writing, which may or may not be good to keeping up with the desire of writing and completing a certain text.

So, to conclude, i'm going to use both languages as i see convenient. Fiction-writing seems a pretty hard thing to do in english for now, so if i start writing fiction (which i havent done since school), it will be written in spanish. This kind-of essay, so to speak, may be written in english if i feel it needs some time to mature and that writing slow may benefit the text. In the case it is just an expression of an already-thought idea, i may write it down in spanish first, and then translate it. this capsule may be good if you are trying to learn either english or spanish, and/or already know any of those.

Ta la proxima.
