6/25/2022 - my absence

Mood: Tired.

Hey there. You might have noticed that I haven't been updating my capsule all that often lately, despite the fact that the homepage says I would be. Well, I've been really busy. One of my roommates ended up moving in with his girlfriend (good for him) and now the rest of us had to find a newer, cheaper place to rent. It took a little while for us to move all our stuff over and I've spent most of my time checking out the new neighborhood. We actually had to move a couple towns over... not that I hadn't been around here before, but I'm not used to new places like this. I dunno. It's been a fun move, if I haven't made it clear enough.

Despite that I've been kind of depressed, due in part to me still listening to the therapy session that was Kendrick's newest album. I won't lie - I'm one of the guys who looked to him for all the answers, which is a heavy burden to place on one man. I acutally used to sort of have a savior/martyr complex for a while there so it hits especially hard for me. He really packed a lot into that album, dawg. It's overwhelming. Anyways don't worry too much about me. I'm hanging in there.

Lately I've been taking the edge off by playing a lot of TF2. It's not exactly my game of choice, but I've got a lot of nostalgia for it. I used to play it alot when I was a teenager during homework breaks. The default matchmaking process sucks ass due to all the servers being filled with bots, but I like fucking around on Saxton Hale and 2fort mostly anyway. It's pretty fun! Other than that I've been trying to learn 3D modeling, which is nice because of the new PC. I didn't mention the PC is new. I didn't help much with building it but I did partially fund it. It's a lot faster than my old craptop and runs really smoothly (it also lights up, which is cool).

Me and my girlfriend are gonna go watch a movie tomorrow. We also might catch the AEW pay-per-view, which I'm pretty excited for. I'm not the biggest fan of NJPW really (the matches are really fucking long) and I don't exactly speak Japanese... but I do like the Bullet Club. A lot. And seeing Okada was fun, since I really dig alot of his title matches. I'm not really expecting either of the AEW guys to win the IWGP championship, but it'll be fun seeing what is essentially a rematch of Jay White vs Kazuchika Okada. It's a bit conflicting because I like both of them, but I can't say I was too thrilled when Okada lost (sorry Bullet Club).

I'll end off with a big thank you to everyone who has been watering my plants in Astrobotany while I was gone. I have still been checking in, reading zines and gemlog posts, but now that we have a communal desktop I haven't had the chance to transfer over my client certificates just yet. Well, I've had the chance, I'm just lazy. You know how it is.
