Meatbags last, you know

Once I talked to my friend, the discussion moved to the eternal question, "why are you?". I do not believe in it anymore, but I customary quoted, "I want to create things that would last." My friend nodded to the baseball court, where his son was playing, and replied that, well, he already created something that would last.

I found no argument to argue; this reply has a point. The whole computers era fits into the human lifespan; Debian died younger than 30. Meatbags do last, indeed.

Conclusion? None. Just it never occurred to me.
