how i use a computer

i have spent a lot of time on my computer. more than i'd like to admit. as a teen i probably should have been out losing my virginity or whatever teens do, but i was on my computer. it's spring now (or close enough to spring), and that gets me in the mood to write.

instead of going off on a huge rant about *why* i use what i do, i'll just have a list of things i use and if you want to know why i use x instead of y, email me!

os: debian

window manager: i3

terminal: urxvt

multiplexor: tmux

email: emacs rmail

xmpp: gajim

irc: irssi

feeds: emacs elfeed

gemini browser: emacs elpher

web browser: falkon

editor: emacs

a lot of this differs per machine. i have netbsd on one, parabola on another, and so forth, but if i were to install a new system, it would probably look something like this. i'm a simple person, and i have found some things that i like.

why am i talking about this, you ask? i don't know. maybe because i use them every day so i can't think of many other things to write about right now.
