a month of things i don't use

i keep saying i should learn vim, so i go through the tutorial, find the lisp syntax highlighting config setting, then stop and go back to nano/emacs. i like emacs. emacs likes me. we have a shared love of lisp. i also kind of maybe get a kick out of how most techbros whine at me when i say i use emacs, cause emacs isn't for the cool kids.

but despite all the positives, i want to do other things. i want to learn other things! well, just vim, really, but maybe other cool stuff, like lsp servers and weird new programming languages and libraries and stuff!

so maybe tonight or tomorrow i'll try hopping from ubuntu to alpine on this laptop, copying my keys and configs to it, and... hm... *not* installing emacs on it for a month. gee that'll be weird! what day is it? march 8. so for the next 30 days... i'll try out vim and acme. it's going to be the least productive 30 days of my life, but it'll be fun!

i don't know, sometimes i just have this urge to try to be the smoothest, cleanest, most unix-y little girl in codesville, even though i'm not smooth, or clean, or unixy, or little, or a girl.
