Notes from the void...

Well. Still here. Still uninfected. I feel like I'm talking about a zombie movie... "We've barricaded ourselves in the abandoned factory, none of us are infected as yet, but the dead ceaselessly circle the grounds looking for a way in..."

Seriously though, all good so far. And there's apparently several vaccines coming soon, so...might just make it through this shit without dying. Just have to make it another few months.

On other fronts, I've decided to teach myself Rust. It's well regarded, supposedly as flexible as python, and as fast as C. Wrote my first stupid program yesterday. Go me. I can think of a few things I might use it for. A deently done weechat telnet plugin for starters. But that'll be in a while...I just started and Rust *does* have a bit of a learning curve. I do really like Cargo, rust's package manager.

I watched [Vivarium] ([imdb]) last night, which turned out to be pretty good. It sort of reminded me of a short story I read long long ago called _The Belonging Kind_. Not high scif-fi, but it wasn't wasted time.

I really should make a serious attempt to update this thing more often than once in six months. Hopefully I manage more in the future. Maybe I can write about useful bits of software or something. Hard to find things to talk about though. My life is boring. :)
