Hello Gemini Tilde Space....

In the beginning

...was the baby internet and it was good, wholesome, brief and simplicity personified. In the beginning the internet was a joy to peruse until the

march of time made it an overwhelmingly burdonsome nightmare it is today. Oh my, what is a girl to do when her cyber world became a pestilence of

pop up ads, telemetry, spyware and javascript chokehold. The girl felt as if there was no hope of escape until one day, one gloriously light filled

day she heard about the Gemini protocol and off she went to explore what all the hype was about. What she found was a respite, an oasis in the

desert of confusion and bloat that is the WWW world.

The Gemini Protocol

I approached gemini cautiously as anyone would, I thought it was just a farce to be honest. But as I went on looking and exploring the gemini I

discovered there is a whole community of enthusiasts, hobbiests and programmers all invested in what is termed The Small and Slow Internet. The

internet of yesteryear was born again in the modern age of the 21st century. I was thrilled to death, I found capsules (websites in gemini) that

allowed people to host their sites on their servers, so, I signed up and began to write gemlogs. I found clients for my android phone and made it

a nightly ritual to slow surf the small web (gemini). I found tons of impressive and creative capsules, gemlogs and all around fun content. Rose

became a happier person.

Now...

Now I have made my way to the Tildeverse and I am happy to see that Gemini has made it here as well as Gopher and other "alternative" technologies.

I have joined tilde.pink and tilde.club and I have to admit I love working on the terminal. It is refreshing to do everything on bash. It came

easy for me since I am working with a Linux distro, the terminal is (or should be) a familiar thing for all Linux users. I hope to make a presence

here in the Tildeverse.

So this is all I have to say for now.

Thank you for having a read here. I appreciate it.

Rose
