me

Hi, my name is Ralf, i was born in 1983 and i am currently working as a sysop for a medium sized industrial company in germany. I had my first conact with computers somewhere in the late 80s as my dad bought an Atari 520ST. In the early 90s i got the first computer of my own: An old C64... and so it begun.

The funny thing is that the C64 enjoyed an incredible long life espacially in germany (at least in my area), even in 1992 i could easily buy parts for it in the local computer store. Not bad for a system that was at this time totally outdated. At some time i fell down the rabbit hole that is programming, it was somewhat magic for me as a kid: I could tell the computer what to do! I learned BASIC and a bit of Assembly, wrote some simple games and shared them with friends at school.

Later my interest in programming and computers led me to start an apprenticeship at GeoNet, sadly the company was already in a bad shape at this time so i could not finish my apprenticeship, but i learnded much that helped me later. After a brief time in the military i could finish my apprenticeship at another company and got more and more into the role of a one-man developement team and sysop.
