A Broken Arse and a Cold

I'd been looking forward to last weekend for MONTHS. The weekend starting after the 29th of February 2024 saw the release of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and the start of the new F1 season. Yay for me. I even took the 29th of Feb and the 1st of March off work so that I could properly sit in my underpants and enjoy FFVII Rebirth.

Unfortunately, on the previous weekend, I went to see Sanguisugabogg supporting Suffocation at a local venue.

I'm no stranger to mosh pits, but I'm pushing 50 and I'm not quite as fit as I used to be. To cut a long story short, I'm festooned with bruises, my ribs are all sore, my back hurts, my neck is stiff, and - my crowning achievement - I think I've fractured my coccyx.

I also managed to catch a cold.

So instead of enjoying a couple of days off playing FFVII Rebirth and catching up with the F1, I spent a few days in the foetal position on the couch eating codeine and complaining. While this was going on, my daughter stole my PS5 and hid in her room with it all weekend playing the damn game *I* wanted to be playing.

Also the F1 was really boring and Max Verstappen won by a mile again.

The moral of this story is don't try to have fun while also being old.
