So, it's Christmas again 🎄

Time flies, doesn't it? The Christmas day lunch has always been famous for family issues. And, until now, I haven't had any issue myself.

But this year doesn't look good. My sister and his boyfrend can't stand my wife, and my wife can't stand them either. Other that that, there's just me, my two sons, and my father. So yeah, we'll see how it goes, fingers crossed.

The thing is, the other day I was talking about this topic with my father. And I asked him if this happened when he was youg (say, at his twenties or so). Was it like nowadays, were every family seems to have issues? And, when I say issues, I don't mean anything relevant: Just look around, people are all the time having arguments for reasons futile at the least.

My father confirmed what I was thinking: Back then, family members might have a few issues, but not as much as today. And I think there are two reasons for that:

Back then, life was harder, much harder. So people couln't afford to spend time thinking about bollocks.

Today, everyone seems angry. Society is so polarized. TV, news, social media and the whole westen way of life has turned us into unhappy hopeless citicens, full of anger and disbelief.

How to make a living in this scenario is not something I can write about it now, I just wanted to express my little anxiety about the around-the-corner lunch next Christmas eve. But I guess a beer and a few glasses of wine will help that day.

Merry Christmas, and happy typing!
