Teabag Ninja instance is no more

I want to thank almost everyone I had contact with on the fediverse through this server. The fediverse is full of brilliant people, doing wonderful things, and I wish everyone the best.

On January 3, 2024 I exported my account follows and took a backup of the teabag.ninja instance db and files. The next day I took the server off-line indefinitely.

I learned a lot by running Pleroma and then Akkoma, running a Web app backed by a database (which as a mechanic was a daunting thig to do), but recently the joy of learning and running this new exciting thing on the fediverse had waned and I found myself posting less. Well, less meaningful posts anyway.

AFK life has also gotten busier, and the realisation that mainstream social media has moved in and has become a place for ranting about news items and politics, and that became a frustration for me even with word filters in place.

And so I realised that my time on the fediverse has apparently run its course, for the most part. I have migrated my account to easymode.im with the same username, and I’ll keep up with the odd gaming thing through there.

Thank all you good people that made my time on fedi enjoyable, it has been a great ride.
