my capsule is a little creature, like an ugly and weird baby bird. it's less a space, and more the thoughts bouncing around this little creature's head. it lives in a fairy tale land, or simply sits on a shelf.

i have a little bugsona, if you can call it that. i don't draw it often, i forget it even exists sometimes, but it's a grain weevil called little angel. i've drawn it in a polly pocket compact once (it didn't come out very good. the colors started bothering me). the capsule-creature can live somewhere like that too.

i love skeumorphism. my dream social network would lean entirely into it, you'd be able to enter my house and see the decor (and also gift me png decor) (it would have a paper doll look). anyone could see my front garden, but the bedroom would be friend-only. i don't think this is even practical or feasible at all, but it doesn't matter.

skeumorphism doesn't have to live in the visual, though (well maybe it does). i feel like i can set the tone with just text in gemini. i can at the very least try, since i don't have funky graphics and typography (ascii / ansi art is hard!)

maybe skeumorphism can be me saying: gemini feels to me like the mouse-world to the world wide web. my website is the human and my capsule is the little mouse. i decided to start out in this space with cities.yesterweb (rather than somewhere blogging / journal oriented) to keep the mouse really simple and free. i don't want to think of posts and journal entries and dates. i just want to think (and then type). loose files rattling around the creature's brain.
