Standing Lamp

A few years ago we found a big IKEA lamp stranded on a curb near our apartment in Brooklyn and decided to bring it home (yay free stuff!). Once we got it upstairs we realized that it had a European plug- somewhat peculiar, but not a dealbreaker since the voltage of the bulb is what really matters. We simply bought an adapter to plug it in at home and used it like normal.

We never found out how it got here after two years of having it reliably illuminate our apartment, but we've decided to bring it along with us in our move to Munich. I feel warm and comforted in the idea that we're bringing it home after its long adventure in the faraway land of New York.
