I'm Sam, a Kiwi living in the Netherlands.

I first discovered the internet when it was something you installed from a stack of floppy disks.

Twenty-five years later I read an article on the 'smol internet', got nostalgic, and fell down the rabbit hole.

I'm currently exploring the 'lite' side of the internet, including the Finger protocol, Gopher, and Gemini. I'm doing this from a Raspberry Pi Zero, and trying to document things as I go:
