A bit of a redo from January 29th. It's funny to read my journal entry from back then in comparison with what I saw tonight: "Very hazy, looks like a blue smudge". This attempt was much different, not sure if it was due to better conditions or me being a little more experienced. M31 was very large, AV was not necessary to see it, but helped push the size out further than I anticipated. After 15 minutes of looking at it, I was able to discern the size as much larger than what I first observed and could clearly distinguish an slightly elongated shape. The glow was not intense, but certainly very bright and the gradient from bright in the center to dim near the edges seemed to progress linearly.

M110 took me a while to locate, and required AV to observe. Even with AV it seemed to pop in and out of view. I had trouble observing M32 simply because it seemed to blend into M31 and I could not distinguish one from the other.

Cool pair! Both are very yellow / orange in color. The primary looks much larger in size, but the secondary is almost as bright (even though it's smaller).
