A different change of pace. Today marks our 10th anniversary. To celebrate we decided to go on a Grizzly Bear excursion and I took the telescope with us. We drove out to a small community called Tom Miner down a long forestry road and stopped on-top of a bluff with fields and tree-lines spread out all around us. The tour guides offered us wine as we setup scopes to scan the landscape for wildlife. We were able to spot a family of Elk, probably 9-10 in number, I located a deer deep inside the tree line. I also spotted a large bird (our guide said it might have been an eagle), sticking it's head out of the grass. No grizzlies, but it was fun and memorable.
