Capsule Monitoring

A bit over a year ago I made a monitoring service for Gemini capsules. There was some interest at first with a few capsules opting into the service, but since then nothing.

So it's got me wondering. Is there no interest because it's not interesting, or is it because nobody knows about it. I don't mind either way, but if it isn't wanted then I might turn it off.

The service checks that the tested site responds within its timeout every 1 minute (or less frequently). If it doesn't respond, it will be retested a few times before notifying the owner by email.

If you want your capsule monitored too, send me an email to jon@shit.cx with the address you want monitored, the timeout, and the email address to send the notifications to.

The number of people using the service is ultimately how I'll decide whether to keep running it or sunset the project.
