I spent a little time playing with an ascii (or more correctly, utf-8) banner.
A little while ago I posted about how I wasn't sure whether the document or the site should take the top-level heading.¹ I've since decided that the document's title should and if the site deserves a little branding, then an ascii banner can nicely achieve that. Banners are very common in Gemini and work well so I'm jumping on that bandwagon. Yeah, I know they're not accessible, but if it can't be read it doesn't really detract from the message.
So this is the first post with the new banner. I doubt I'll bother retrofitting it to all the other posts, but perhaps one day I'll feel differently.
Edit: It seems that the braille UTF-8 characters aren't monospace on either Ariane or deedum on Android. I've swapped them out for dots and colons for better compatibility.
