sorrow.

despair.

it has a friend in longing.

they lock hands and walk you down their path.

there is only darkness at the end of that tunnel.

letting go and turning around is action.

we know where action can lead.

when you see heartache within yourself.

feel its grasp on your heart and soul.

it can be terrifying.

it sneaks up on you.

consumes you from the depths.

reveals itself once its already embedded in you.

ripping yourself from its grasp will hurt.

either way you suffer.

its strange to think of which will hurt more.

a torn heart.

a bloodied body.

or the cold sinking descent.
