Autumn, work, and projects

Autumn is pretty and, in this part of the world, the temperature is really nice. You can be chilly if you want but don't need a lot of clothing layers to be warm. Also pretty clouds, rainbows, and other nice weather stuff. But the "falling other the leafs" period also has some downsides, is somehow makes feeling "happy" harder. I won't call it "D", but it's there and it seems like a chemical imbalance because it comes in waves.

So I am keeping busy. That helps. Being idle is uncomfortable and comes with unhappy thoughts. So I'm doing stuff; lots of work, multiple projects, lunch walks, and lot's of cuddling especially with my kids. They are my favorite source of endorphins!

For the last couple of days was thinking about network crawlers for one of these projects. I like to not spoil my thoughts about technical stuff by reading about them. It's more fun to try and write down the thoughts I had in the shower without research. Research is distracting, it takes away my feeling of accomplishment, is too much like work, and simple spoils solving puzzles.

I wonder if that's why my best ideas are born in the shower, because I don't have access to information which is not already in my brain?
