Today I received a donut: 120cm in diameter, 100% polyvinyl chloride, strawberry with assorted flakes. It will lift me over the water but it won't keep me dry. It would lift me over the sea and carry me all the way to Oceania if I asked it to, but I won't; I don't have time. It will lift me over a lake, and that's all I could hope for and it will be natural, and it will be normal.
