_natural

Overview

_natural is a relatively unkown producer that mostly

make use of the Kasane Teto and Kiritan voice sets.

Their music mostly has a focus on guitar and synth,

with a preference for sustained vocals.

Catchy experimentation

_natural seems to experiment a good amount relative

to others within the genre, and this gives a great

feeling that the producer is truly having fun playing

with their sound. And no matter what tweaks are made

to the style I still find myself humming along with

a majority of songs they put out.

Playing to the strengths of voice synthesis

I've talked before about playing to the strengths

of the vocaloid aesthetic but not necisarily the

sound of it itself. I think vocaloid/UTAU what

have you, end up sounding best when they can play

to the "computerized" sounds of the voices, and

incoroperate it. Rather then focus more on trying

to try hard and covering it up. To that regard,

I often find music using UTAU or similar more

fringe voice sets to be much better at accomplishing

this. With voiceroids and the like getting more popular

I hope to see more producers really embrace and work

with this sound in their works.
