Arguing with Atheists

I spent some of my day in unproductive dialog with some folks who disdain belief in G-d. They found it upsetting that I believe the story of creation in Genesis literally, with G-d creating the heavens and the earth and all therein in six days.

Science as Faith

They became fixated on what they deemed my denial of what they claimed to be scientific facts regarding the age of the earth and evolution. I explained, to no avail, that the methodology used in support of the aforementioned is only nominally scientific. I'll quote myself:

> All so called proofs are extrapolation (the weaker methodology, as opposed to interpolation) and speculate far outside the known range (weakening them further) and are inference from consequent to antecedent (the more uncertain direction).
