Breaking Tzitzis

This past Friday afternoon, moments before candle lighting time, I was vacuuming hurriedly. I bent to pick up a pair of socks when my tzitzis strings got caught by the roller and ripped off the garment.

I checked my dresser and realized I had no spare pair of finished tzitzis. I had to borrow from a friend to have tzitzis on Shabbos.

Making Tzitzis

While I had no finished tzitzis, I did have an unfinished pair that had been languishing in my top drawer for years. So this past Sunday I spent several hours reacquainting myself with the painstaking process of tying Chabad style tzitzis.

I think I'll buy the next couple pairs.
