Thine eyes

Thou lightened my dreams

And now waning thou art —

Evanescent being

In shimmering snowy gleam

Thou blossoms, my rose,

But rueful is thy bloom —

As in scarlet painted bud

From thy brittle body grows

Spirit that lit bright

Darkens inside thy chest,

For thy life, scant in days

Abandons thine azure eyes

Frosty wind swept breath

Off thy calm, serene face

Our journey shall end here,

Fare thee well, thou walk into night…

I looked in thine azure eyes —

Thou whispered:

My love…

I kissed thy trembling lips

For the last time

For the first time…
