If you need to generate a QR picture using command line tool. I would

recommend libqrencode.

.Bd -literal -offset indent

qrencode -o file.png 'some text'

It's also possible to display the QR code inside the terminal with

the following command.

.Bd -literal -offset indent

qrencode -t ANSI256 'some text'
